In addition, he's received commissions from the Cleveland Orchestra, Cincinnati Conservatory, clarinetist Ricardo Morales and many others.

In June of 2007 I began a year long sabbatical. I spent most of the first six months driving around the US and Canada and the rest of the time composing in Europe.
On 19 February 2008, in lovely Moscow, Idaho, I presented a paper entitled
UNCOVERING THE STAN KENTON ARCHIVES, as part of the JAZZ HISTORY
AND CULTURE CONFERENCE at the University of Idaho.
Later that spring THE PEREGRINATION SUITE for solo piano was performed twice by Alexandre Dossin (2003 Martha Argerich International Piano Competition Winner). It can be heard by clicking here.
I began 2008 at the Cite Internationale des Arts in Paris, my home away from home. I composed there for four months, followed by several months on two islands (Ile Saint-Louis and Christianshavn).
While in Europe I began composing a library of original music for 20-piece jazz orchestra. Much of this music will be performed in concerts next January by the Knoxville Jazz Orchestra. Stay tuned for more details of the performances in Knoxville and in Lexington.
